Life gets in the way and stuff.

I'm currently less than a week away from moving. Also, school has been a bit hectic. I have officially declared my major which means they are drowning us in photo assignments. Its all very tedious, but i love it. My first class is Commercial Photography 1, which is a class where we shoot various types of commercial portraits. We started Tuesday with a cereal box. I started the shoot in the morning and didn't leave in till mid afternoon. It was long but well worth it since i have half of my assignment done. I also have a Color Printing and Lightroom class which is all Photoshop and learning how to edit and print prints. Interesting but very technical. Overall, its interesting, but a lot of work. I am up for the challenge!

So cheesy of me, but i really miss my boyfriend right now. I finally uploaded the pictures from Valentines Day onto my Mac. It makes me miss him more. I'm such a sappy teenage girl for him. He's a lovely man, and I hope he's with me for a long while.

Those sisters can create some SERIOUS dresses. Rodarte is (i feel) one of the most creative lines in NYFW every year. I love the colors and the cuts of the dresses. Lovely runway show!

Grammy Awards 2012: Best Looks

Hello Random friends!
Just got back from a lovely small vaca back home to San Diego to see my boyfriend (early valentines date), my parents and my best friend Leah. Had a great time but now school starts. (I should be asleep seeing as its currently 1:30 here in LA but I feel twitchy and energetic. fail.)

Got back to LA just in time to see the awesome ending of the Grammys! I have been on my IPhone all day looking at the crazy and beautiful gowns some ladies were wearing. Here's my top picks!

Rihanna in Custom Made Armani-I think Rihanna is a sexy bitch! I LOVE her curves, and I really love how she works them in outfits. I love this dress, simple, but very sexy.

Katy Perry in Ellie Saab-I loved Saabs runway show, so girly and pretty. This was one of the best pieces in the whole show and i think Katy does the dress justice. My only qualm is that she doesn't always need to color her hair, black is fine too!

Adele in Armani-YES YES YES! I LOVE ADELE. I love her personality, her voice, and now her style! She looked STUNNING this year. From this gorgeous dress, to her performance dress below, she hit the nail right on the head! Not to mention her makeup and hair looked incredible! 10/10!

And to shy away from fashion, Adeles' performance was amazing. I almost shed a tear.

New, Final Bedroom Idea.

After 48 hours of intense web searching. (Literally 130 pages of www.apartmenttherapy.com...one of the best sites ever, check it out!) I finally found my theme and color palette for my room!

I saw this lovely image on AT.com and I fell in love! I am a floral fanatic and i wanted to incorporate flowers. I first thought about making my whole room floral wallpaper, but I soon realized that could look very tacky. (Thanks, Brittany.) So i have decided to paint my room green (possibly the color in the picture, but I might want a brighter green) and then purchase floral drapes and a duvet. cheaper than paying for wallpaper! i hope my idea pans out! I am very excited to get started!

Fresh New Start

So, me and my roommate officially have a new apartment! I'M SO SO excited to move! I am so ready to start designing my new room. I've always wanted to start from scratch and design my own room. I have this Anthropologie/Vintage vibe i want to do. I love feathers, and birds and trees. I changed from a betsey johnson wearing, chain necklace teen to a boho feathers, flats and long skirt young lady. My taste has changed so much. I am so excited to show it!

Bag Obsession: Celine Luggage Bag

I've been working at Nordstrom officially for 2 months now. Its pretty nice, I get to see a lot of women wearing such beautiful clothing and carrying the nicest bags. Lately, I have been seeing the Celine Luggage Bag being carried around. Its so lovely, leather with big hoop handles. It retails for around $1300, so needless to say I will not own it anytime soon. But I can always look at it....and touch it.

WW3: Purchasing Jason Wu for Target.

Well, remember when I said this Jason Wu for Target line shouldn't be as bad as Missoni? I lied. I woke up at 9am, ignorantly thinking i would be one of the first there. I arrive to target, and I am told it SOLD OUT in one hour. INCREDIBLE. All i wanted was the floral messenger bag, and it was gone. I was upset. So I strolled over to the clothing just to look to see if i could find something worth my trip. They had brought out more stuff, and I looked and realized that most of the sizes left were for bigger women. AKA me. The only win of the morning.

 So i grabbed a bunch of clothes and tried it on. The first thing i really noticed about the Jason Wu line was that it is made to fit conventional women. The Large size was actually a large size and fit me perfectly. Another thing was that the patterns and designs were very new and fresh. The floral dress i ended up purchasing had TWO different floral designs on them. Very flowy and girlie. I adore it. And i also bought a shirt with a lovely silk ascot sewn onto it. Overall it was a good purchase day, I am still searching for the bag, I really want it. But for now i am happy with what I got. Lesson Learned; I need to get there earlier!

Alexander McQueen Spring 2012

Im shocked at myself that i have yet to put up The McQueen show! my favorite designer and line other than Chanel. What can i say about McQueen? Its stunning. Lace and tight corsets. With lace and cotton trimmed head pieces. Sara Burton hits the nail on the head once again. Its dark, but pretty. Grotesque but Beautiful.

Food Adventure: Larry's, Venice Beach.

I did some Pug Babysitting with my roommate/best friend for his sister. As a thank you, her and her husband invited us to a new restaurant in Venice Beach called Larry's. It was right on the boardwalk. Very trendy and hip. We had a 3 course dinner; tuna dish with rice crackers, rabbit with risotto, steak with freshmade onion rings and finally a toffee cake with ice cream. It was delicious. I will return with some friends to try it again.

VALENTINO SPRING 2012 Couture

Lace, Prints and Dainty ladies were the theme of the Valentino Spring 2012 Runway show. I am a huge fan of prints and lace. the dresses were girly and pretty. Light pale colors and a lot of whites. It was a lovely break from the very loud and violent colors and designs of a lot of the other runway shows. Its a lovely cup of tea with a pretty dress on. How i wish i could own all the floral dresses!
